Alexia Kane is a Midwestern graphic designer with plenty of experience in the creative industry. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Communications and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2021. In her personal work, she likes to explore digital media, the connection between digital and physical media, and visual art in relation to music. She currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska, with her partner and pets, and works for Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts as a Communications Associate.
LOW END is Bemis Center’s music venue and part of their Sound Art + Experimental Music Program. The space, located in Bemis’s lower level, includes custom seating, theatrical lighting, an anamorphic perspective stage, and industrial-grade audio equipment. LOW END features free live shows by local, national, and international sound artists, composers, and experimental musicians. These performances aim to not only build new audiences and a greater appreciation for nontraditional forms of music, but also to liberate artists to take risks and present truly avant-garde work.
There are three yearly pushes to promote LOW END performances: Winter + Spring, Summer, and Fall. As communications associate, it is part of my job to ensure each season speaks to the Bemis Center brand while connecting to the visual language of the entire year of performances.
